seared tuna steak with pak choi, spring onions and a zesty tamari dressing.
dressing ingredients:
- 2 tbsp tamari
- zest & juice 1 lime
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp water
- 1 red chili
- 2 garlic clove
- 1 lemongrass
- 20g ginger
ingredients:
- 2 tuna steaks
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
- 2 pak choi
- 6 spring onions
directions:
- rub the tuna steaks with the olive oil, set aside.
- finely chop the garlic, ginger and chili.
- crush the lemongrass and finely chop the white part, discard the rest.
- zest and juice 1 lime.
- mix the tamari, lime juice, honey and water. add chili, garlic, ginger, lime zest and lemongrass. stir well and set aside.
- chop the spring onions on the diagonal.
- heat a dry griddle pan over a high heat.
- sear the tuna steaks 2 minutes each side in the griddle pan.
- stir fry the pak choi in a wok, after 1 minute add the spring onions.
- make a bed with the pak choi and spring onions, top with seared tuna steak and pour over dressing.
- enjoy!
